Looking where to get in on the action?
There are four public viewing areas designated on the mountain. The first three require a lift ticket to access and are loacted at the top of the Mile 1 Express at Hut One, at the top of the Sunbird Chair and midway down Showoff.
Not skiing? Join us in the finish area at the bottom of Old Timer for the Downhill, Super G and Slalom races, accessible by ski, or by walking up from the village! Bring your cowbells and get loud!
Meet your favourite athletes
Join us at the Great Hall Patio to celebrate! We'll also be hosting an athlete autograph session! Athlete photo cards will be available for signing, first come first serve!
The beginning
The origins of the first organized ski race came not too long after the inception of Panorama Ski Hill.
Canadian National Shell Cup Race
First major racing event. Jim Hunter (1st), Ken Read (2nd), and Dave Murray (3rd) from the Crazy Canucks claimed the podium.
FIS Men's World Cup Downhill
The first of five World Cup events to be hosted at Panorama. Installation of the Champagne T-Bar, created to take racers to the start gates.
FIS Women's World Cup
Newcomer Petra Kronberger (Austria) won her first World Cup. She would go on to be the first woman to win a World Cup in every discipline.
FIS Women's World Cup
Races were televised the same day as the men’s races from Lake Louise.
NOR AM Cup
Panorama became a regular stop on the NOR AM circuit.
IPC World Cup & World Championships
FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships
The first FIS Alpine Junior World Ski Championships held in Western Canada.
Mainly cloudy with isolated flurries.
Freezing level: 1600 metres.
Ridge wind north: 10-25 km/h.
