Avalanche Awareness Days are an annual event, held in various communities throughout Canada to promote backcountry safety and education in an effort to prevent avalanche accidents and raise public awareness of the risks.
If you're on the resort Thursday night (Feb 6), kickstart your learning with an Avalanche themed trivia at the Jackpine Pub from 7pm.
On Saturday, join the Panorama Ski Patrol and Avalanche team for a day of learning about snow science and backcountry safety. The days events will kick off from 10am at the base with Panorama's Avalanche team opening up an info booth until 2pm on the Great Hall deck.
