Certification Program
Completing a ski or snowboard course is a great opportunity to improve your riding and teaching skills. If you are successful you will be certified to teach up to the intermediate level with the Canadian Ski Instructor’s Alliance (CASI) or the Canadian Association of Snowboard Instructors (CASI). Designed for intermediate skiers or snowboarders looking to become instructors.
CSIA LEVEL 1 / TCM
This program offered by the CSIA will prepare you for your first day on the job. By combining the standard Level 1 Course with Teaching Children’s module you will not only have the basics to begin a career as a ski teacher you will also earn credits towards Level 2.
Instructor Level 1
The Level 1 ski instructor certification is for any competent parallel skier, aged 15 years or older and seeking to work as a ski instructor. The Level 1 candidate can expect to be exposed to a variety of terrain, snow conditions and terrain features.
The Level 1 will you introduce you the aspects of effective ski teaching through the combination of practical ski teaching methods, technical understanding, and development of guest service skills.
