Fire Safety
This property is equipped with fire detection and may have sprinkler systems. Please take a moment to read the safety instructions located in this directory.
For your safety; fire protection devices and alarms protect the resort’s accommodation. Should a fire occur, practice common sense safety tips. When you arrive, locate and confirm the position of the fire alarm and extinguisher on your floor. Establish your route to the fire exits. In a smoke filled hallway, it is helpful to know the number of doors between your lodging and the nearest exit.
If you discover a fire, remain calm. Pull the nearest fire alarm and exit the building. When you hear an alarm, act. Don’t investigate. If possible, close all doors to prevent it from spreading. If the fire is in your room, get out and close the door, exit the building and report the fire.
If the fire is not in your room, leave if you can. First, feel the door. If it’s cool, open it slowly and go to the nearest exit. If there’s smoke, crawl, as fresh air will be at floor level. Take your key so you can go back if you can’t use your exit route. If your door is hot to the touch, do not open it. Seal all cracks with wet towels. Shut off the fans and air conditioners. Fill the tub with water: the ready supply of water might be used for fighting the fire. Signal at your window. Notify Panorama Front Desk at ‘4000’ on a Resort phone or 250.342.6941 from your mobile. Never use elevators, as they could stop at the fire floor.
Traveler Safety Tips
For your personal safety, as you would when travelling anywhere, be mindful of your surroundings and practice common sense safety tips. Locks for lockers in the Lodges are available at the Front Desk. Ensure that all sliding glass doors are locked. If you are travelling with children, provide adult supervision at all times. If you observe suspicious activity, please notify Panorama Front Desk by dialing ‘0’ from a Resort phone or 250.342.6941 from your mobile.
Traveler Safety Tips
Our wildlife is wild! They may look cute but they are not used to human contact. Please don’t feed or approach them and never get closer than 50 metres. Use caution and common sense. To report a wildlife encounter contact Panorama Front Desk at ‘0’ on a Resort phone or 250.342.6941 from your mobile.
Traveler Safety Tips
For the safety of our staff and other guests, please dispose of sharp objects, such as used syringes or broken glass, in a safe and responsible manner. Sharp objects, hidden in garbage bags, can cause serious injury. Do not dispose of used syringes or other sharp objects in household garbage. Do place the sharp object in a plastic container, like a pop bottle, so that it is unable to cause harm when picked up. If you require assistance for proper disposal of sharp objects, contact Front Desk at ‘0’ from a Resort phone or 250.342.6941 from your mobile.
